WEDDINGS IN THE POOL
Just a 2 hour drive away from LAis the desert escape of Palm Springs and its surrounding hot spots (pun intended). It's an easy getaway for Los Angelenos and I've frequented the area for photoshoots and bachelorette parties.
But of all the things I love about Palm Springs, weddings are my favorite. In addition to the picturesque backdrop of the mountains at sunset and the retro-vintage Hollywood designs, every wedding venue usually has a swimming pool. And at every wedding I’ve been to, the entire wedding party ends up IN the pool in all our clothing! Yes, this includes the bride in her gown too.

PIONEER TOWN
Before you leave the Palm Springs desert area, spend a day at Pioneer Town! It’s an authentic old western town build in the early forties for filming of movies and TV shows. But the buildings aren’t just facades. You can actually shop for retro western wear and handmade home goods, go bowling on a Saturday night or go to the Mane Street Stampede Wild West Show.
Food: Just down the street from Pioneer Town is Pappy & Harriet’s restaurant. They always have great live bands and absolutely delicious food! The outdoor area fills up on the weekends and it’s a very rustically romantic vibe.
