Family time is so important to me. It always has been. Family is what gets us through the hard times and makes the good times even better. It’s the core of our lives. That foundation on which everything else is built. There’s nothing more important.
As a child, my parents always made family a priority. It was a precious thing in our home, and that connected feeling is one of the major reasons I am who I am today. Now that I’m a mom, I try to make that family connection and bond an integral part of my son, Eukia’s life, as well.
Family Time at Great Wolf Lodge
While family time can be something as easy as dinner at the table or playing together, I also try to incorporate bigger, more explorative activities with my son to promote even more amazing memories that he - and I, for that matter - can cherish forever. That’s why I was so excited to go with him and his father to Great Wolf Lodge
If you’ve never been to Great Wolf Lodge, you’re missing out. Of course, it’s the best indoor/outdoor water park you’ll ever find, but it’s so much more, as well. Not only can families spend the day splashing in the park, but the kids can enjoy great activities like making their own stuffed bears, movie time and activities, tasty food and treats, and more. Even their accommodations are designed with fun in mind, looking like log cabin interiors complete with bunk beds.
Celebrating Great Wolf Lodge’s Birthday
On this trip, we were able to take part in Great Wolf Lodge’s 25th birthday. In addition to having fun in the water park and making his own bear, Eukiah was also able to do good and give back, something that’s very important to me. He and the other kids who participated made cards for the Confetti Foundation as part of the festivities. The foundation helps make kids in hospitals feel a little better by celebrating their birthdays, and the homemade cards that were made at the Lodge were part of that.
If you know me at all, you know that doing good in the world is just as important to me as family time, so I was so happy to see Eukiah participating in the activity.
