As many of you know, I’ve spent my entire adult life promoting equality and justice. I put in the hours to get my law degree and pass the bar specifically to try to help right the wrongs in the world. That being said, I’m not all serious all the time. I like to be silly, too. That’s why I was so excited to be one of the first guests on the new Conversations with Nick Thompson podcast.
Talking About It All
Nick likes to say, “We go broad but also deep”, and that couldn’t be more accurate. Although the episode I was in focused on humanitarianism, justice, and identity, we also talked about parenting, raising kids, and my favorite, guilty snack foods.
What strikes me about Nick is that he really cares about all aspects of life, which is one reason why I didn’t just appear on the show, I’m a fan, too. He gets to the root of things, having fun along the way, but never losing sight of what matters most - the human experience and how we can help others in the world.
A Podcast That Touches On Everything
There are some podcasts that focus on one thing, but what I love about Conversations with Nick Thompson is that it focuses on one thing AND everything all at once. Because it’s about the human experience, he dives into all kinds of topics with all kinds of guests, and it all focuses on what it means to be human and how to be better at it. That’s something I think we can all use more of.
