This Easter, I got together with some of my favorite mom friends for an amazing Easter brunch. It was such a wonderful time of connecting, laughing, bonding over stories about motherhood and beyond, and of course, enjoying delicious food. It was a great way to enjoy some downtime, recharge, and connect with some of the most special women in my life.
As a mom, I think it’s so important for us to have other mom friends. No matter how much help you have in your life from your husband, boyfriend, co-parent, or family members, no one can connect with you over motherhood the way other moms can, especially when they’re around the same age. Parenting changes from generation to generation. When you have a circle of moms who are all traveling the same path that you are, it makes everything feel so much more doable. That’s why I enjoy things like the Easter brunch with my mom friends.
I have Lindsay Luv to thank for that. This amazing mommy is full of fun, fashion sense, spunk, and just generally an amazing spirit. She put the whole thing together. We all met at Lumiere Brasserie here in Los Angeles and enjoyed some amazing food while we enjoyed each other’s company.
I have to tell you guys if you don’t have a mom circle, you need to get one. I can’t imagine traveling the path of motherhood without these ladies to hold my hand when I need it, push me even when I don’t want to be pushed, and have my back when I come to a hill that seems too big to climb or an obstacle that seems too enormous to go around. The support I get from these ladies is amazing.
And that’s the power of motherhood. It extends beyond simply loving your kids. Mothers share a bond - all mothers. I know I said earlier that you need a mom circle that’s about the same age, but that’s mostly just the icing on the cake. No matter how much parenting changes, the core of motherhood is always the same. We’re all connected.
I hope you all had an amazing Easter and that you connected with the amazing mothers in your life.
