There is something profoundly powerful in sisterhood. When a group of women come together in an intentional community, it is nothing short of magical. I had been dreaming of hosting an all-female event for a few years now, paying homage to all the amazing women in my life and gathering a substantial group together to celebrate the joy of being a woman. But let's be real - not only is it tough to find the time myself, my girlfriends are also all in different stages of their lives now, raising kids and killing it in their respective careers. It might seem like a simple thing to organize a gathering like this, but when you’re surrounded by so many successful women, it can get complicated trying to carve out time just to relax.
My dream finally came to life a few weeks ago with Sunkissed Picnics. I invited some of my oldest friends plus some new mom friends! and I was so excited to spend time with such a rad community of powerful and inspiring women. We painted, sipped wine, laughed, shared stories, and watched the California sun set. By the end of the evening, we were all feeling very refreshed, enlightened, and yes, joyful. Is there anything more special than quality time?
