I absolutely love attending luncheons at Sugar Taco in Los Angeles, because it is a women’s owned vegan Mexican restaurant that is just as active in the community as they are in the kitchen. Beyond being a regular for their awesome “NOT YO’ NACHOS” and aguas frescas, this has become an event space for women supporting women owned businesses. Their motto is that good food and good ethics go hand-in-hand and they really practice what they preach!
Today I was HONORED to be featured in LA Weekly’s story highlighting the incredible women that Sugar Taco supports through these events. One of the Sugar Taco investors, and my personal friend, Jessica Hall is a true supporter of women and female-owned businesses. She frequently hosts events, seminars and power luncheons to create a sense of community for local businesses and to provide a support network.
