Mama Market is a different side of New York Fashion week. Hosted by Fashion Mamas, it’s a place for fashion-loving moms to congregate with their little ones and get in a little retail therapy for both mom and baby in between all the shows at NYFW.
Mama Market Takes Over Playgarden
This year, I was one of the hosts of Mama Market, and that was really special to me for a couple of reasons. For one, I was honored to be a part of the process. It was amazing to know that I was helping moms and their kids have an extra special time during this huge fashion event in NYC. Another exciting part was that this trip was Eukiah’s first trip to NYC, so he got to experience all kinds of new things.
This year, Mama Market took over Playgarden in Tribeca. At Playgarden, we offered healthy snacks and drinks for the kids from great companies like Baked by Melissa, Yumi, This Saves Lives, and Boxed Water. We even had complimentary childcare provided by Hello Sitter.
A Great Experience for Moms and Kids
In addition to snacks and drinks, the kids were treated to tons of open play and crafting with Babyzen to help keep them stimulated and occupied. After all, we wanted New York Fashion Week to be fun for us and our littles.
For us shoppers, Dirt & Noise, Lexie, Loyal Hana, Madras Made, and Skip & Play were all on hand with great merchandise that was both cute and fashionable. Between the play and crafts and the shopping options, both Eukiah and I had a wonderful time.
Mama Market Made NYFW Better Than Ever
As a mom, I really appreciate the idea behind Mama Market. I was honored to be a host, and I was so impressed by our vendors and setup. We did an amazing job, if I do say so myself, and I think all the moms in attendance would agree.
It was awesome to help may NYFW more fun for my fashionable mom friends, get to meet new fashion mamas I hadn’t known before on a different coast, and to watch Eukiah explore a new place. All in all Mama Market was a big hit, and I look forward to many more of them in the future!
